दोस्तों सलाम,

मैं बहुत खुश हूँ की कल रात हमारी टी फॉर टेक्नोलॉजी की पहली मीटिंग हुई आज जब मैं हिन्दी टाइपिंग प्रयोग करने बैठा तो बहुत मज़ा आया ये तो सच में बहुत आसान हैं , अब मुझे कभी भी हिन्दी टाइप करने वालो के नखरे नहीं झेलने पड़ेंगे http://www.hindyugm.com/ पर रोमन इंग्लिश को हिन्दी में लिखने का ये औजार बहुत ही कारामद है अब देखिये न सिर्फ़ पाँच मिनट मैं ये चिठ्ठा तयार हो गया इग्लिश मैं टाइप करने मैं ये मज़ा नही आता !
चलिए अब मैं आपको 'Tea for technology' के बारे में बताता हूँ कुछ अरसे से ये ख्याल मेरे मन मैं कुलबुला रहाथा की आजकल टेक्नोलॉजी इतनी तेज़ी से बदल रही है की हर किसी को लगातार सीखना ज़रूरी है मगर रोज़मर्रा की दोड़ धूप मैं इतना वक्त ही नही मिलता की खास तौर से कहीं जा के सीखें मन में ये सवाल उठा की ऐसा क्या करें की हमारी रफ्तार टेक्नोलॉजी की रफ्तार के साथ मिल जाए और इससे सीखना कुदरती लगे ?अब ये तो सब ही जानते हैं की जितनी अहम और मजे दार बातें चाय की प्याली के साथ होती हैं, वैसी भारी भरकम 'वर्कशॉप' वाली मीटिंग मैं नही होतीं और सीखने सिखाने का जो अम्ल है वो मज़ेदार ही होना चाहिए तो साहब जन्म हुआ 'टी फॉर टेक्नोलॉजी' का कल पहली मीटिंग हुई हम पाँच दोस्त चाय की दुकान पे मिले और हमारे साथी सुहैल आज़म ने http://www.hindyugm.com/ के बारे मैं बताया मैंने आज सुबह प्रोयग किया और यह चिटठा लिख दिया प्रयोग बहुत ही सफल रहा, अपने ख्यालों को ज़ाहिर करने केलिए मुझे हिन्दी टाइपिंग का सहारा मिल गया टी फॉर टेक्नोलॉजी की अगली मीटिंग का इन्तिज़ार मुझे बेसब्री से रहेगा

Your resume is your passport to the job of your dreams. It’s the best example of a ‘first impression being the last impression’ Since you will be judged, questioned, accepted or rejected on the basis of these few sheets of paper, you jolly well make sure you get it right! Here are some tips that will help you in framing a perfect resume


1.Follow a sensible sequence: Your resume should start with personal information and then move on to academics and finally work experiences. Make sure of the right order. Don’t have personal information popping in the middle of experience. The information provided should be crisp, yet one that gives the prospective employer a fair idea about you. You could also give a very brief description of your experience right under your name, this is case of jobs that are advertised for large numbers. In such cases resumes will not be given too much attention, something like this will catch the employer’s attention and your resume could get selected.
2.Use graphics and colours: Graphics and colours especially if your desire is to get into a creative field will create a great impression. But there’s a catch here. It has to be superlative! The graphics and the use of colours you display on your resume will be akin to your work portfolio, a showcase of your talent. It can make or break you. So unless you are confident of showing your best, don’t attempt this one. Also do not go overboard. If the resume is too distracting it will fail to hold anyone’s interest.
3.Highlight your strengths: Don’t feel shy. Brag about your achievements. Your resume is your personal advertisement, you have to make it impressive. Highlight your achievements using ‘corporate speak’ Identify the key words in your line of work and use the words to make the right impression. But be crisp, don’t go beyond 4-5 lines. You got to save some answers for the interview too! If you are a fresher, restrict your resume to a page or two at the most.
4.Be honest: Remember what you write in your resume can be verified easily, so don’t fall into the ‘lie’ trap. It will cost you your reputation! Have ready answers for everything mentioned in your resume, period of experience in your last job, pay, the person you worked under.
5.Have your goal/ambition listed in your resume: This will create a favourable impression about you as a person who thinks ahead. It is important here to see that your goals don’t sound selfish, include the interests of the company also in your goal.
6.Have impressive references don’t just list names, explain how they’ve influenced you: Make sure you give out the right numbers and also inform the references about them being on your resume so they are prepared to answer any questions about you. This is however not mandatory for all resumes. You could list references on a separate sheet and hand it over only in case you are asked for it.
7.Be smart: Understand and anticipate the needs of the company you are applying to and accordingly tweak your resume. If you have contacts in the industry, tap them for useful information.
8.Number game: Wherever possible quantify your experiences, budgets you’ve worked with, revenues you’ve brought in, number of products you’ve worked with. This will be effective in measuring your progress.
9.Make your resume action oriented: Use a lot of action verbs in your copy. Show yourself as a person who gets things done, who solves problems…Let your energy and drive show in your words.
10.Justify your expected salary: Be prepared for the question of why you ought to be paid what you ar asking for. So anticipate this while framing your resume and make sure it contains all the justification for the expected salary. Paint your achievements and abilities in the right shades.
11.Go through your resume several times: Make sure your resume is 100 per cent error free. Have it proofread several times by your friends to make sure the punctuations etc are in place. A resume with errors smacks of shoddiness.

Mission admission

Attending Mission admission seminar organized by Times of India was really an eye opener for me. It was organized to address the admission related queries of students in Delhi. There were many speakers in the seminar but most enriching was the session of Mrs. Pervin Malhotra. renowned career counselor & writer. I was amazed by her energy & sincere responses to the audience. Her session helped me understand the enormous pressure that parents & students goes through while opting for a course , career or college.

I was shocked to see the number of questions that were asked during her sessions . The audience was very concern about careers & courses and most of the questions were regarding choice of colleges in Delhi University. As if life ends if one did not get admission in North campus.
Mrs. Pervin Malhotra said that the tragedy of our society is that there are more than 4000 careers option even then parents & children only think about MBA, engineering & Medicine. This result in a rat race and ultimately the potential of each & every individual are not realized to the fullest.

She also said that looking at the “Bher chal for Commerce courses in North campuses” it is very liberating for students securing Marks below 75%. Because then they focus on their interests & not on top colleges. Keen on motivating young aspirants to introspect & find 'their cup of tea', She repeatedly ask them to enroll in which ever colleges they are getting admission. This will enlarge their safety net and Later on the can pursue their interest in PG courses she said. She also encouraged audience to take Interest & aptitude tests to determine their career.

On one hand there were anxious students who were disappointed that they did not get marks as per the cut off lists of top colleges, on the other hand there were students who had above 95% and still worrying about courses in they should opt in higher colleges. Ms Malhotra also shared that every year she gets at least three calls of IITians, who have done IIT but don’t want to pursue a career in it.

The session also invoked insights about mushrooming private colleges, There was a smart student who used Orkut network to research about the quality of courses in animation institutes , a very good strategy to get a first hand feedback from the existing students of a college or institute.

In short students & their parents worried about their careers should not go after what is’ HOT ‘ as per the media & advertisements rather they should decide upon the interest of the students .
